## What You Need To Know...

MAFS.912.F-IF.2.4 – For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, Interpret key features of graphs and tables.

1. The benchmark will be assessed using Drag and Drop Response, Equation Response, Multiple Choice Response, Table Response or Open Response.
2. Key features include: intercepts; intervals where the function is increasing, decreasing, positive or negative; relative maximums and minimums; symmetries; end behavior; and periodicity.
3. Items may require students to compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions).
4. Items may require students to identify the domain or range of a function in terms of the context or to identify the rate of change.
5. Functions can be polynomial, rational, square root, absolute value, piece-wise, exponential or logarithmic.
