Job Summary:  Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to effectively lead and perform a variety of food preparation, clean up and service duties in school cafeterias.  Employee filling this position performs all duties in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and departmental guidelines to promote high quality food and efficient cafeteria operations. Position is distinguished from that of the Food Service Assistant I by knowledge and experience gained in time of service. Employee performs related work as directed.

 

Education & Experience:  High school diploma or GED. Successful completion of 3.0 college credit hours in food service related courses as approved by the School Food Service Office. One (1) year experience in quantity food preparation and service, including knowledge in the safe operation of commercial food service kitchen equipment.  Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

 

Physical Abilities:  Perform strenuous and routine work, may involve significant standing, walking, pushing, pulling and carrying. Regularly stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel, and is routinely required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary:  Under general supervision, performs maintenance, repair and construction tasks to school district buildings, facilities, grounds and equipment.  Employee functions at journey level and to perform semi-skilled work that provides the students, faculty and general public with environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable and clean area.   Employee is responsible for ensuring all work is performed according to established safety standards, codes and regulations applicable to the work.  Performs other related work as directed. 

 *NOTE: Will perform maintenance, repair and preventive maintenance tasks to school district HVAC equipment.

 

Education & Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by three (3) years responsible experience performing general maintenance and grounds keeping work, to include experience in a lead position; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Licenses & Certificates:  Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

 

 

Administrative Secretary II           15                    School Food Services             8 hours/12 months

                                                                                          

Job Summary:  Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide complex administrative support involving secretarial duties, promoting efficient and organized operation of office activities in the assigned functional area or administrative department. Employees in this classification function at journey administrative support level, and perform both routine and non-routine administrative support duties as dictated by the nature of the work area.  Position may be assigned to a large department and perform a broad array of generalized administrative support functions, or assignment may be to a specialized office wherein incumbents receive initial instruction in specific office operations.  Position is distinguished from that of Administrative Secretary II, by experience gained, level of responsibilities, and greater latitude in exercise of independent judgment concerning assigned duties.  Performs other related work as instructed.

 

Education & Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by four (4) years responsible secretarial or administrative support experience, and the ability to type at a prescribed rate of speed; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Custodial Worker I                       8                       Bellview Middle                      8 hours/12 months

 

Job Summary:  Under supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide general upkeep, sanitation, and maintenance of school building facilities and grounds.  Employees in this classification performs responsible janitorial work independently and is often physically removed from supervision, however, all duties are performed within the framework of pre-established policies and procedures and in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions.  Performs other related work as directed.

 

Education & Experience:  High school diploma, GED or other equivalent preferred; supplemented by a demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Physical Responsibilities:  While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, and walk, and use hands to clean, is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and is occasionally required to climb and work from ladders while cleaning or replacing light bulbs.
