Summer is here!!!  Now that the weather is warmer, we encourage you to become more phsically active.  Let the staff here at the Center for Wellness help you meet your fitness goals.  Whether you enjoy cardio exercise, strength training or group fitness classes, there is something here at the Wellness Center for everyone.  Start today and before you know it, exercising will be a regular part of your week.

Welcome to the Employee Wellness Center.  The school district established this center as a free service for all full-time, permanent employees  and retirees who currently have the school board insurance. The scope of this program includes group exercise classes, fitness assessments, cardio machines, strength machines, and outdoor walking/jogging.

Aerobics Classes

 ***Classes will run July 28 - Sept. 5*** 

           Mondays:

 

            4:15 - 5:00 pm

"Pilates" with Carmen Gustafson

An organized series of mat exercises that focuses on core strengthening, coordination, and balance.  If you want to maintain or achieve a toned, lean, and flexible body and improve your posture, give this class a try.  Bring a towel and yoga mat if you have one.

 

           5:00 - 6:00 pm

          "Functional Fitness” with Travis Huffman

         A group-based class that involves various forms of training.  A variety of equipment is used including machines, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, treadmills, stationary bikes and more.  Training is performed in a group-setting but can be modified for each individual.   

 

        Tuesdays:     

 

       12:00-12:30

"Lunch Break Workout" with Carmen Gustafson

A quick workout that will rotate weekly between circuit training, pilates, and piloxing.

       5:00-5:45 pm

"Beginner Piloxing" with Carmen Gustafson

A non-stop interval fusion of pilates, boxing, and dance.  You will punch, move, and groove to blast fat, burn calories, adn tone every muscle in your body.

 

        Wednesdays:

 

        5:00-6:00

**Summer Hours of Operation**

From June 9 - July 24 the Center for Wellness hours of operation will be as follows:

Monday - Thursday

7:00 am - 6:00 pm

We will resume normal hours of operation on July 29.

Normal Hours of Operation

 

Monday - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Tuesday - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Wednesday - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Thursday -   7:00 am - 6:00 pm

 Friday - 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Measurement Room

 

Drop by and visit our measurement room to monitor your weight, BMI and blood pressure.  We have a Tanita Scale that measures weight, BMI, body fat, and body water.  We also have a blood pressure machine and measuring tapes.  This is the perfect way to track your fitness progress weekly.
